Music for the table,
one press away.

Lucy is a music desk for the game master: playlists with crossfade, scenes that are lanes of sound on one timeline, one-shot pads. All from files on your own machine, all scheduled on the audio clock, so it never stutters when the desk is busy.

Windows 10 and 11. Lucy is in alpha: it works at the author's table and may still surprise you elsewhere. Nothing is fetched from anywhere; nothing of yours leaves your machine unless you put it on air.

The installer is not signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will warn: choose More info, then Run anyway. To be sure the file is the one built here, compare its SHA-256 with this one:

199daae160f68c345719aae4fa28828f81b0d930feb1281bd0e2d0ac79db3777

In PowerShell, in the folder you saved it to: Get-FileHash Lucy_0.3.7_x64-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Lucy's desk: scenes, playlists and pads on the stage, the mixer strip below

Scenes on a timeline

Rain all along, music under it, thunder at the seconds you choose, the whole thing repeating. One tile on the desk: press to start, press to stop.

Playlists with crossfade

Tracks in order, loop, crossfade seconds, volume. Edit a playlist while it plays and the change lands without a gap.

Pads that answer at once

Every pad is decoded ahead of the press. Overlap a flurry of blows, restart a long roar, or hold a bell until you say.

Play it from anything

Keyboard shortcuts that work in any window, a MIDI controller with lit pads, a Stream Deck through Elgato's app, anything Bitfocus Companion knows.

The listening page

When the table is online, put the desk on air: the players open a link in a tab and listen, each at their own volume. Discord stays for talking.

Yours

Your files, your folders, your library on your machine. The relay carries the sound and keeps nothing. No account for players, none for you unless you go on air.

The listening page, in three steps

For the players who are not in the room.

  1. Sign inOnce, with Discord. You get a room with a link and a key.
  2. Paste the key into LucySettings, Listening page. Then press Go on air on the desk.
  3. Hand the players the linkThey open it and press Listen. No account, nothing to install.

What goes on air is the GM's own doing: play only what you have the right to share with your table. The relay carries it and keeps nothing; it is not a place to publish music.

The name

Lucy is named after Łucja, the author's goddaughter, four months old when the app was born.
